 My name is Hayley Laidlow and I am a certified Sleep Sense consultant. Prior to becoming a sleep consultant, I worked in the education sector for 17 years as both a teacher and principal. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education, Honours from James Cook University in 2004 and went on to complete my Masters of Education in 2017. I have extensive experience in working closely with families to support the needs of their children both in their education and wellbeing. Having worked with many families of young children, I know just how important a great night’s sleep is for your little one’s growth and development and how important it is for you!

Why I became a sleep consultant:

My partner Ken and I have a beautiful daughter Asha and I am Aunty to Radek and Elora. As a Mum, I know just how difficult things can get if your baby isn’t sleeping well. Asha was a notorious catnapper who would only contact sleep through the day – a classic ‘velcro baby’! Her sleep patterns were highly irregular and I used to joke that she ‘didn’t day sleep’. I was exhausted, wrung out and felt like I never had any time to myself, until I found Sleep Sense and it changed our lives. Asha now has regular day naps and sleeps between 11 and 12 hours every night, it was like a miracle! It was this drastic change that prompted me to make the change into sleep consultation.

As a certified Sleep Sense Consultant, I have been personally trained by Dana Obleman creator of the Sleep Sense Program. The Sleep Sense program has over 100,000 satisfied customers and boasts a 97% success rate in achieving great sleep for your children. I have undertaken a comprehensive Sleep Sense certification program and continue to further my education in the science of sleep. I am very proud to be a registered member of the Sleep Sense program and to continue to work with Dana to improve my skills as a sleep consultant. I am so excited to share this program with you and look forward to helping your family get the great night’s sleep you deserve. 

Maternity & Newborns

Newborn sleep can be very erratic and this can be very confusing for new parents. Our maternity & newborn sleep package is designed to teach you the skills you need to set great sleep foundations for your precious new baby.

Our key goals are to help you get to know more about what to expect in your newborn’s sleep and how to set great sleep habits right from the beginning. This package does not include formal sleep training but will provide you with the support you need to gently guide your newborn’s sleep and set up great sleep habits from day one.

Babies

Having a baby who doesn’t sleep well can be extremely stressful for the whole family. Babies can have trouble sleeping well for a number of reasons but one of the most common is the 4 month sleep regression, this is when we can help. Through personalised one to one support we will solve your baby’s sleep problems. Catnapping, contact napping, night wakings and any other sleep concerns will be resolved through gentle supportive settling and sleep techniques. We will work hand in hand with you to get your baby sleeping through the night and having great day naps as well.

We do NOT use ‘cry it out’ but calmly support you and your baby in learning how to sleep well, giving your whole family a great night’s sleep.

Toddlers

Toddlers can be tricky but we can help! Bedtime battles, bed hopping, night wakings and any other sleep concerns will be resolved through gentle and supportive settling and sleep techniques. Through personalised one to one support we will solve your toddler’s sleep problems and get them sleeping through the night and napping during the day.

We do NOT use ‘cry it out’ but calmly support you and your toddler in learning how to sleep well, giving your whole family a great night’s sleep.

Older Children

Even big kids can have trouble sleeping. Maybe they have experienced a sleep set back or have just never been a great sleeper and you want this to change.

Bedtime battles, bed hopping, night wakings and any other sleep concerns will be resolved through gentle and supportive sleep techniques tailored to suit your child’s needs. Through personalised one to one support we will solve your child’s sleep problems and get them sleeping through the night.
