Established in late 2016 by Dave Double out of a passion for food and service. Having worked in restaurants, hotels, and large-scale venues since 2000 it was time to set up on his own. In 2018 Jodie Halliday came on board, she shared the same vision as Dave and helped to grow the company to where it is today. In 2022 she became a director and part-owner of Plenty of Thyme. Since 2020 Plenty of Thyme has quickly made a name for itself winning Best Independent Caterer at the Essex Wedding Awards for 2020 and 2023 along with The Wedding Business Awards Regional Winner for the Southeast 2020. Plenty of Thyme is now recommended and nominated caterers at a variety of high-end venues throughout Essex including Hylands House, Tuffon Hall, That Amazing Place & Lodge Farm Barns. We have large premises near Billericay which has been awarded 5* hygiene from Chelmsford council for the last 4 years. 

We have quite few friends that we established throughout years of working in  our field. On our website you could find marquee hire, equipment hire, photographers, mobile bar hire, decor, venues, entertainment and other wedding suppliers.

We do a wide range of catering from Canape to Street Food.
