Inter world Steel Mills Indonesia was established more than 40 years ago as the first steel company to produce strip plates in Indonesia.

Our first factory is located in North Jakarta, occupying an area of ​​4.6 hectares. In 1975 Inter World Steel Mills Indonesia built the second Rolling Mills line which produced the first angle bars in Indonesia. In 1982, Inter World Mills Indonesia again spearheaded the Indonesian steel industry by starting the production of channel bars.

In 1990, Inter World Steel Mills Indonesia acquired 150,000 square meters of land in Tangerang and built a 25MT stove designed by Japan's NKK and CCM by Danieli, Italy.

In 1992, the Inter World Steel Mills Indonesia factory began production with an annual billet production capacity of 150,000 MT.

In 1994, a new Rolling Miils from Danieli, Italy was added to the Tangerang factory to accommodate the production of plain bars and deformed reinforcing bars with an annual capacity of 250,000 MT. The factory began production in 1995. 

In 2001, EAF with a capacity of 25 MT was increased to 30 MT so that it could produce Billets of 200,000 MT per year. 

At the end of 2012, Inter World Steel Mills Indonesia successfully completed the installation of new lines to produce reinforcing bars with a production capacity of 600,000 MT. 

In 2013, Inter World Steel Mills Indonesia bought another 22,500 square meters of land adjacent to the Tangerang area. 

To date, Inter World Steel Mills Indonesia's production capacity has reached 800,000 MT per year.
